
On 12 March the 2019 call for proposals for the energy efficiency topics of the Horizon 2020 EU funding programme was launched. There is €112 million available in total; aroud €26 million - to support investment in sustainable energy under four topics of the call.
What you need to know about each of the four topics:
EE2: Integrated home renovation services
EUR 10 million are available to create, expand or replicate “one-stop-shops” and cover the whole “customer journey” of home renovation. Applications from one single entity are eligible. For this new topic, we invite you to watch the dedicated webinar for potential applicants, as well as the SEI Forums webinars on Home renovation: The User Perspective and Financing Home Renovation.
EE11: Aggregation - Project Development Assistance
EUR 6 million are available to develop technical assistance and build the technical, economic and legal expertise needed to develop sizable projects. In this case as well, applications from one single entity are eligible.

EE9: Innovative financing for energy efficiency investments
EUR 4 million are available to develop or replicate innovative financing schemes for energy efficiency investments. Many of the presentations held in SEI Forums events, presenting best practices and innovations around Europe, are relevant to this topic.
EE10: Mainstreaming energy efficiency finance
EUR 6 million are available to support mainstreaming of energy efficiency finance. As examples of supported initiatives under this topic, we invite you to watch the webinar on Deployment of Energy Efficient Mortgages and The role of Standardisation & Benchmarking.
Horizon 2020 Energy Efficiency Info Day
You can find detailed presentations and recordings on all funding opportunities in the Call 2019 on the webpage of the Energy Efficiency Info Day 2019, which took place on 22 January 2019, including the recording of the sessions for Mobilising Investment and developing Finance for Energy Efficiency, as well as guidance on how to prepare an excellent proposal.
Deadline for submission of proposals is the 3rd September 2019.
