The European Commission consults the ManagEnergy Reflection Group on information relating to local initiatives, partnerships and good practice that can help identify policy priorities of the EU. The Reflection Group also recommends supplementary areas of action on the basis of experience at the local and regional level, as well as disseminating Community policies and project results to local and regional actors.

A free citizens' service via a new toll-free number for all 15 Member States
Any citizen anywhere in the EU can pick up the phone, use this number and without any costs put their questions on Europe in their own language and get an answer back in their own language.

• European Consumer Centre

The European Consumer Centre (ECC), a virtual "personalised legal advice service for consumers", can be found at:

The ECC is aimed at those who would like buy a product or service in another country of the European Union or to those that have encountered a problem with a professional on the other side of the border, providing a team of legal experts that will give free advice and help to solve cross-border disputes as part of a European consumer information service. In addition the ECC provides free information booklets on different themes such as importing a vehicle, buying property, timesharing, etc., complete files on all aspects of European consumer affairs and covers European and French consumer legislation and access to a database on which more than 7000 texts are referenced and summarized, while the complete texts may be ordered. It also provides personalised answers to questions addressed to cec@crc-conso.com

• Your Europe (ENTR 4)

The 'Your Europe' portal (ENTR 4) sets out to meet the needs of thousands of EU citizens that move within the European Union, some as tourists, others to study, work or retire in another EU country as well a thousands of enterprises that want to expand their commercial and industrial activities to other EU countries. These citizens and businesses need information on the EU and national legislation applicable to different real life situations. To provide this the Commission has recently launched a portal entirely dedicated to this purpose:

This offers practical information on rights and opportunities in the Internal Market (at both European and national level) and provides personalised advice on problems may be encountered when moving within the EU - a service available in all official EU languages.
